Celebrate the Season at the Holiday on the Harbor Lighted Boat Parade

Holiday on the Harbor near our hotel in Destin Florida

Have you ever seen Christmas lights at sea? On December 15, Destin Harbor will be illuminated with a parade of boats decked out in beautiful holiday decorations and lights.  Located minutes away from our hotel in Destin Florida, the 27th Annual Holiday on the Harbor is a highlight of the Christmas season on the Emerald Coast.

Beginning at 6:00 pm, commercial, charter and private boats of all shapes and sizes will sail around the harbor. These festively decorated boats will compete to win prizes in eight different categories. Special awards will go to the best overall lighted boat entry and the boat that does the best job of showcasing Destin’s harbor heritage. Judging for the parade will be held upstairs at Harry T’s Restaurant. Be sure to stay until the end of the event to find out who the winners are and to see a fantastic fireworks display over the harbor.

The Holiday on the Harbor event will be hosted by the Destin History and Fishing Museum. This excellent museum is dedicated to preserving the unique heritage of “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village”.
