What to Expect
Destin Snorkel’s tours start at various times throughout the day and last for about three hours. They provide all of the equipment you need to snorkel, except your towel, sunscreen and swimsuit. Destin Snorkel even provides free soda and bottled water! Guests are welcome to bring your own lunch and cooler. There is a restroom and a canopy on each ship, and the crew is lifeguard trained.
The three hour tour consists of two stops and a dolphin tour. The different stops are as follows:
- Spend the first hour anchored in the waters of the bay. Snorkel in about three feet of water while viewing crabs, shrimp, seahorses and various fish.
- Next, the tour lifts anchor and goes on a search for dolphins.
- Finally, sail to the Destin east jetties for your second stop. You can stay in the shallow water or go as deep as you want while viewing schools of fish and a variety of other wildlife. Here, you can also have free use of Destin Snorkel’s single and double kayaks.
