Brand New Music Festival Makes a Splash in Destin
In what organizers hope will become an annual event, the Chocawatchee Watershed Music Festival will be staged for the first time on Saturday, September 20th at Boshamps Seafood & Oyster House in Destin Harbor. Five artists are scheduled to perform at the inaugural benefit event, with proceeds benefiting water sustainability efforts by Northwest Florida State College’s Chocawatchee Basin Alliance.
Admission for the eight-hour event (2-10 p.m.) is $20, and will be held on two separate stages, with Boshamps’ outdoor decks, docks, sand beach and tiki-bar all providing excellent views of both stages. The five artists scheduled to appear include:
- Von Brain (Main Stage 2-3:30 p.m.)
- Dismal Creek (Deck Stage 3:30-5 p.m.)
- Stokeswood (Main Stage 5-6:30 p.m.)
- Los Locos (Deck Stage 6:30-8 p.m.)
- Flow Tribe (Main Stage 8-10 p.m.)

In addition to the live music, the concert in Destin will also feature a silent auction to raise additional funding for the Chocawatchee Basin Alliance’s many varied programs, with local businesses and sponsors contributing some great items.
