The fall typically brings events of all kinds to Destin, but in the wake of COVID-19, there are fewer things to do in Destin Florida in November. Still, there is plenty of excitement scheduled to happen on Henderson Beach Resort property, and Henderson Park Inn guests have access to these events.

Outside of a handful of regularly scheduled events, like Sangria and Sunsets at the Rooftop Bar, the majority of the fun takes place on the week of Thanksgiving and features all sorts of activities.

Here are some of our favorites:

1. Henderson Beach Walk | 8:30 a.m. on November 26

Fall brings some of the most spectacular mornings on the beach, so a walk on the beach is one of the best things to do in Destin Florida in November. On the morning of Thanksgiving, Henderson Beach Resort hosts a beach walk through Henderson Beach State Park. In addition to seeing spectacular, undisturbed views of the beach, you’ll also have the opportunity to see 30-foot sand dunes and beautiful natural Florida vegetation.

2. Thanksgiving at Beach Walk Café | noon to 5 p.m. on November 26

It’s not Thanksgiving without mounds of delicious food, and Chef Daniel Peters has crafted a delectable menu filled with your traditional Thanksgiving favorites as well as a few of his own specialties. Due to limited space, reservations are required, and you’ll want to secure your space early, as we’re likely to fill up quickly. You can see the full menu on Beach Walk Café’s website.

3. S’mores & Movie Night | 7/8 p.m. from November 26 through 28

End each evening during your holiday stay with a cocktail from Horizons while roasting marshmallows by The Henderson’s fire pit and enjoying a movie on their lawn. It’s one of the best cozy, holiday-like things to do in Destin Florida in November.

4. Holiday Cheers on the Rooftop Bar | 5 to 8 p.m. from November 27 through 28

5. Holiday Scavenger Hunt | noon on November 28

Complete with prizes at every stop, The Henderson’s holiday scavenger hunt is a self-guided afternoon of fun throughout the property. There’s nothing else quite like it in the area, so it makes it one of the most unique things to do in Destin Florida in November. Stop by the fitness center to pick up your directions.
