As an adults-only inn, we know that at some point during your stay with us you might want to venture out into Destin in the evenings. Even though a stay with us includes made-to-order breakfast, picnic-style lunch, beach chairs and umbrella, bicycles, happy hour, snacks and more, we don’t have a nightclub on property, but if you’re looking to bar hop or dance the night away, Henderson Park Inn is a short distance from two of the biggest centers for Destin nightlife.

Destin is home to plenty of wonderful bars, from hole-in-the-wall dives to high-end wine bars, so you’re bound to find something you’ll enjoy day-to-day. However, if you’re looking for a string of great places all in a convenient location, there are two great spots in Destin: HarborWalk Village and The Village of Baytowne Wharf.

When we say HarborWalk Village has it all, it really has it all. It’s home to the largest charter fishing fleet in the country and remains the launching place for almost all of the boat, jet ski, paddleboard and kayak rentals that the area offers. Yes, while that doesn’t exactly scream Destin nightlife, a village of shops, restaurants and bars have sprung up along the docks, making it one of the liveliest spots in the area.

It’s home to the famous Coyote Ugly Saloon and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville in addition to a number of local favorites like Harry T’s Lighthouse and AJ’s. All of these are within walking distance of each other and boast great drinks, music and more.

And, if the specific bars offered there aren’t what you’re looking for in a Destin nightlife experience, HarborWalk Village also hosts a variety of night events involving live music, fireworks, parades and more.

While The Village of Baytowne Wharf is slightly farther away than HarborWalk Village from Henderson Park Inn, it’s still one of the best Destin nightlife options out there. It’s located along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay and is home to the Drunken Goat Saloon, Fat Tuesday Daiquiri Bar and Hammerheads. But if you’re looking for more of a night club atmosphere, John Wehner’s famous Village Door and Rum Runners, which features dueling pianos, are there, too.

And, much like HarborWalk, The Village of Baytowne Wharf also hosts nighttime events and outdoor festivals that include fireworks, live music and more.
